Science
Meets Art

Science Meets Art is a non-profit organization that acts as a link between scientists and artists who are interested in the same topics and would like to collaborate on projects with public outreach.

We want to create an active network that connects scientists and artists, online and physically. We organise public events where initial connections are pursued and project outcomes are opened to the public.

We support projects in which artists and scientists collaborate to achieve a public outcome — making science more accessible by bringing it closer to the people and importing other points of view into the scientific world.

What guides us

Our Values

01

Interdisciplinarity

We believe that working with groups of different mentalities and perspectives enriches our view and way to work. Science and art are not opposites — they are complementary ways of understanding the world.

02

Community

We create and nurture spaces for connection — between scientists and artists, between researchers and audiences, between disciplines and communities. Our network grows through care and collaboration.

03

Accessibility

The science industry does not include enough outreach in its projects and funding. We want to create spaces to explore science communication that is open, inclusive, and genuinely engaging for everyone.

Our Mission
"Making science more accessible by bringing it closer to the people and importing other points of view into the scientific world. Creating spaces for artists to express themselves by deepening into topics they did not explore before."
What we do

More concretely

  • Create a network of scientists and artists or scientific and artistic organisations.
  • Organise or promote public events for the dissemination and discussion of scientific knowledge from an artistic point of view.
  • Support projects in which artists and scientists collaborate to achieve a public outcome.
  • Facilitate connections between science, art, and the general audience.
