Adriano is a scientist interested in climate change issues. He is one of the co-founders of Science Meets Art. Adriano's areas of research range from policy analysis addressing global and regional challenges related to inequalities, and the environment, with a particular focus on the energy, water and food sectors. He is also one of the co-founders of Science Meets Art (SMA) and he is motivated to establish stronger connections between science, arts and the general audience. With SMA he has designed and organised several projects. His artistic experience, often connected to activism and underground culture, includes experimenting with diverse media such as music, comics, and clowning. Adriano is research scholar at the International Institute of Applied System Analysis.

In her artistic practice, through textile works, sculpture and installation, she explores the materiality of human societies in the context of multiple ecological and social crises as well as increasing digitisation. She is currently finishing her doctoral research that focused on the links between energy, population dynamics and gender at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact research in Germany. Since 2022 she is also involved in the Master's programme Art and Science at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

Her current artistic research revolves around the somatics of migration and diasporic identity. Exploring how experiences of displacement, memory, and belonging live in the body. Following early years as Musician, I took up art training and university studies in Bioengineering. Worked in England for 8 years primarily as illustrator, cartoonist and painter before taking up an offer to work as a scientist/engineer, which led to a career in academia and as entrepreneur, before once again returning to art some 10 years ago. In presenting biological science-based motifs and animals I seek to explore the principle patterns that are common to both science and art. As a performance artist with a scientific background in biological anthropology, I am currently working on "Consciousness in Relation: Homo Kemoni", a trans- and interdisciplinary neurobiological performance project. This artistic-scientific performance deals with the levels of consciousness and the levels of relationships as well as the transformative interactions between the different levels. Together with Lucia Callen (performance artist and PhD neuroscientist) and Scharmien Zandi (musician, composer), we want to use the scenic languages of Butoh dance, clowning, physical theater and music to investigate processes of consciousness and connect them with a scientific-philosophical narrative.

Peruvian twin sisters Benazir (an artist and researcher based in Denmark) and Yanisse Basauri Torres (a forest scientist and researcher based in Austria) advocate for a transdisciplinary approach involving science, nature, and art.

NAMI's artistic work is about fostering affection alliances between institutions, human and non-human actors, for a just socio-ecological economic transformation. NAMI's work aims not only to demystify the economics universe by translating data into embodied insights, but mainly to explore and uncover the osmosis of systemic economic, historical, cultural, geopolitical dynamics into people's imaginaries and practices of relating to themselves, others and nature. Multimedia artist who deals with site-specific and audio-visual installations, as well as hologram projections. She graduated in New Media Arts at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, where she won a scholarship and an award for the best work in New media art (2020). She has realised numerous projects, publications, solo and group exhibitions in Serbia and abroad, among which the Cultural Center of Serbia in Paris, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina, Ars Electronica in Linz. She focuses on the impact of media culture on society and virtual space.
